Oil Spill

You do realize that the reason BP was such a disaster was because it was forced (by regulations lobbied by the environmental wackos, mind you) to drill in deep waters? Had this been done closer to shore, the spill could have been fixed sooner. But because of the environmental lobby bitching and complaining, regulations were created that forced the rigs out into the gulf. It’s a problem that the government and environmentalists created.

But let’s go with the environmentalists and just stop drilling for oil offshore and in Alaska. That way, we can continue depending upon crazy desert people for our oil. Perhaps we should switch to alternative energies. Except for nuclear. Wouldn’t want another Chernobyl or Three-Mile Island. Because technology hasn’t improved one iota since the 80s, right? We can always go with wind and solar. Sure, it’s expensive and inefficient, but at least the tree huggers will be happy.
